Narrative

In an era long forgotten, of myth and sorcery, one type of magic rose above all others: CHRONOMANCY, the power to rewind time and rewrite history itself!

Coveted for its limitless potential, it sparked a savage war among the most powerful mages, for time can have but one master.

Arcane arenas were conjured to contain the chaos, each a dueling grounds locked outside of time. Here the fate of wizardry would be decided.

Let the battle for all of time commence... for this is CHRONOMACHIA!

GMTK GameJam 2025 Theme: Loops

Chronomachia is contained within a looping arena - exiting the stage through any portal teleports the player to the opposite side. The core mechanic of the title is the ability to rewind time by 3 seconds a limited number of times; allowing a player to reverse an attack, take another route, or force their opponent to re-think their last move!
